When will we have peace? The U.S. has been at war with Iraq for some time. It has been 5 years since we have entered Iraq.
During that time a mass number of soldiers have died. 3,963 soldiers is only an estimate. From the time that I have written this, I'm sure there have been more soldiers lost. It is an unfortunate reality that we are currently living. Many of the soldiers that are and were in the war didn't know what they were getting into. A lot of soldiers think the military is the way out of a bad situation, but that is not the case. There are only a few perks of the military one such perk is,after 20 years of service you can retire with benifits for life, but the question is will you live that long to recieve that?
On Oct.11,2002 President Bush got permission from the U.S. Senate and The House of Representitives to use The Armed Forces. Bush wanted to stop Saddam Hussien at all cost. What exactly was the cost? The cost was all the soldiers we have lost in the war. In addition to the U.S. loosing soldiers Iraq has lost an estimated 2 million inocient people that were killed by their own. Suicide bombers are taking their own life and lives of others to make a point to the U.S. The point they are trying to make is that the U.S. needs to get out and leave them alone.
In the end this is not our war to fight. What Iraq does has nothing to do with the U.S. Congress is trying to civilize a country that doesn't want to be civilized. This war really needs to end. We must all pray for this war to end and, for peace to be restored.
